Østerbro Penthouse

The Brief

The clients — a couple relocating from New York — came to us with a raw shell on the top floor of a 1920s building in Østerbro. The panoramic views of Copenhagen's rooftop landscape were the project's most important asset; every design decision had to serve them without competing.

We stripped the interior to its structure and rebuilt from first principles. Dark steel window frames were extended into bespoke room dividers. Natural linen, warm terracotta plaster, and smoked oak floors root the space in material warmth while the palette remains restrained enough to let the sky do the talking.
